  8. Are you tired of not being able to find that buried window? Would you
  9. likely to instantly locate any window on your desktop? Would you like
  10. to be able to quickly make a window stay on top or move all the way to
  11. the back?  Need to hide that window before the boss sees it? Would you
  12. like to know what invisible windows are running on your desktop?  Are
  13. you tired of being nagged when you want to exit Windows?
  14.  
  15. WinChanger can help with all of these things. And it is directly
  16. accesible from almost all of the windows on your screen. Switching
  17. windows is a breeze even with all windows maximized.  Just click on
  18. the system-menu box in the upper-left corner of most windows.  
  19. WinChanger is unobtrusive uses very little memory and does not use any
  20. timers.

  22. WinChanger is a Windows utility that operates by adding items to the
  23. system-menu.  The system-menu is available from almost every window
  24. on the desktop by left-clicking on the system-menu-box in the
  25. upper-left corner of most windows.  WinChanger is for Windows 3.1 or
  26. higher.

  30. INSTALLATION

  32. Copy the files:
  33.  WCHANGER.EXE
  34.  WNCHGDLL.DLL
  35.  WCHANGER.HLP
  36. to any directory you like.  The other files are optional and may be
  37. deleted.  However, you might like to save README.TXT (this file) and/or
  38. ORDER.TXT for future reference.  WinChanger may be started by running
  39. WCHANGER.EXE or by choosing WCHANGER.EXE from the File Manager.  Or
  40. WinChanger may be added as an icon to a Program Manager group. In
  41. Program Manager, click the "File" menu option, then "New", then select
  42. "Program Item" and enter WCHANGER.EXE with its full path as the new
  43. item.  If you have a "Startup" group, adding WinChanger there will
  44. cause it to run every time Windows starts up.

  46. Once WinChanger is running, its menu may be accessed at any time by
  47. bringing up the system menu of most windows.  This is the menu that
  48. contains things like "Restore", "Minmize" and "Close" and is usually
  49. available by left-clicking on the small box in the upper-left corner
  50. of the window.

  52. If the WinChanger configuration-panel is not accessible, there are
  53. several ways to gain access to it:
  54. 1) Attempt to run another instance of WinChanger.  This will cause
  55.    the configuration-panel to pop to the top.
  56. 2) If the icon is visible, choose Restore from the icon's menu.
  57. 3) If the icon is invisible, click on the system-menu-box in the
  58.    upper-left corner of a window on the desktop, and choose the
  59.    "Show WinChanger" item from the WinChanger pulldown menu.

  65. This program is shareware.  You may evaluate it for no more than
  66. 30 days.  After this time, you must either register WinChanger or
  67. remove it from your system.  Failure to comply with this condition is
  68. a violation of U.S. and international copyright law.

  72. REGISTRATION

  74. WinChanger may be registered by mail. WinChanger may also be registered
  75. online by Compuserve users by GOing SWREG (Registration ID 3525).
  76. Upon receipt of your payment, you will be supplied with a
  77. "Validation Code".  This code is entered into the program along
  78. with the "Registration Name" of your choice.  The "Registration Name"
  79. and "Validation Code" are entered by selecting "Register" from the
  80. configuration-panel's main menu.

  82. Benefits of registering WinChanger:
  83. 1) "Register WinChanger" will no longer appear on your system menu.
  84. 2) Your "Registration Name" will appear in place of <Unregistered copy>
  85.    on the configuration-panel.
  86. 3) Your "Registration Name" and "Validation Code" will be valid for
  87.    ALL future updates of WinChanger forever.  The price may go up, but
  88.    all future versions of WinChanger are yours for free.  Future versions
  89.    will be made readily available for download.  You should be able to
  90.    find them the same place you found your current copy of WinChanger.
  91. 4) Suggestions by registered users will be incorporated into future
  92.    versions of WinChanger.
  93. 5) Registering supports the shareware system (including shareware
  94.    authors).

  97. 1) Selecting Help on the configuration-panel's menu and selecting
  98.    "Order Form"
  99. 2) Printing file ORDER.TXT
  100. If you do not have a printer, be sure to include all of the
  101. information requested in the order form with your check or money order.
